SUJOG-FSSM Platform, which digitalises the complete Faecal Sludge and Septage Management (FSSM) value chain, has been expanded to cover 69 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and 1527 Gram Panchayats in Odisha. This significant achievement represents yet another remarkable milestone in our ongoing efforts to enhance sanitation practices in the region.
We successfully conducted the capacity building program on SUJOG-FSSM for the Phase-2 ULBs of Odisha, benefiting 33 ULBs. The program aimed to train ULB and Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) personnel to effectively utilize the SUJOG-FSSM Platform for efficient management of desludging activities.
This collaborative initiative involved Odisha Urban Academy (OUA), formerly Odisha Water Academy, Housing & Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha, and featured demonstrations and interactive sessions to showcase the platform’s features and usage. The hand-holding sessions by OUA’s Master Trainers ensured that all participants gained a comprehensive understanding of the SUJOG-FSSM platform.
A Path Towards Sustainable Sanitation:
With the SUJOG-FSSM Platform now operational in 69 ULBs and 1527 Gram Panchayats across Odisha, we are confident that this digital revolution will significantly improve sanitation practices in the region. The platform’s data-driven approach will enable authorities to optimize waste management processes, leading to cleaner and healthier communities.
As we witness the positive impact of the SUJOG-FSSM Platform in the coming months, we remain committed to our goal of empowering ULB and FSTP personnel with innovative solutions for enhanced faecal sludge and septage management. By embracing technology and collaboration, we are paving the way for a cleaner and more sustainable future for Odisha.
