“With six years left to achieve the 2030 Agenda, renewed ambition and accelerated action are essential to achieving good health and well-being for all. Our partnership with eGov plays a pivotal role in supporting countries with digital innovations to scale-up equitable access to health, enabling structural transformation and leaving no one behind,”
– Luciana Mermet, Manager, UNDP Global Fund Partnership and Health Systems Team.
Through UNDP’s partnership with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, UNDP and eGov will initially focus on expanding the use of data and digital technology to increase access to malaria services in Burundi, including the delivery of bed nets for malaria prevention to the last mile. The collaboration will strengthen technical capacity for digitalizing mass campaigns by providing training, knowledge resources and advisory services to UNDP Burundi, the Ministry of Public Health and the Fight Against HIV and other local partners.
“This collaboration is completely in line with eGov’s Theory of Change. We are confident that by working with UNDP, we can catalyze public service delivery that can lead to meaningful, large-scale impact. Through the DIGIT platform, governments can be enabled to deliver public services more effectively and inclusively, transforming the lives of millions of citizens,”
– Viraj Tyagi, CEO, eGov Foundation.
