Reflecting on this philosophy, Viraj Tyagi, CEO of eGov Foundation, shared these thoughts during our engagement in the International Conclave on Urban Transformation in Bhubaneshwar, organized by the Housing & Urban Development Department, Odisha. His words underscore the critical role of effective leadership and innovation in realizing the potential of technology in transforming urban governance.
As a part of this panel discussing the future of urban governance, Viraj gave his remarks on the holistic overview on the genesis of the DPI story. Aveek De, VP of Sanitation Mission, facilitated the session on DPIs at scale for urban governance. This breakout session also featured insights from the fellow panelists, Dr. Santhosh Mathew, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Sushanta Kumar Mishra, H&UDD.
The Conclave is a testament of the 5T governance model under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik in transforming the governance of Odisha. It aims to promote shared learning of urban development strategies and encourage collaborations to boost inclusive growth, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals.
