As a co-founder of eGov Foundation, Nandan Nilekani has been pivotal in shaping the organisation’s mission to enhance urban governance through technology. He focuses on building citizen-centric platforms that provide urban local bodies with the tools they need to deliver better services and improve the quality of life for citizens.

With over two decades of experience in leadership roles, including as the Co-Founder and Chairman of Infosys Limited and the Founding Chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Nandan brings a wealth of knowledge in leveraging technology for large-scale impact. He is also the co-founder of EkStep Foundation, which aims to improve basic literacy and numeracy for millions of children through a digital platform.

Nandan holds a Bachelor’s degree from IIT Bombay and has been honoured with several prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan, the Joseph Schumpeter Prize, and multiple recognitions from Forbes, Time, and Foreign Policy magazines for his contributions to technology and innovation. An advocate for digital transformation, he continues to explore how AI and open-source technologies can drive societal and economic progress in India.
