Academia/Research Partners

“Aapti Institute has been working on a research project in partnership with eGovernments Foundation to understand issues of last mile access to the DIGIT platform in 3 states – Chennai, Punjab, and Andhra Pradesh. eGov’s platform makes data available, and this synthesised data has informed the research questions and the pathways for inquiry. Moreover, eGov has excellent relations with the states in question, which has been critical in the research process. Throughout this engagement (still ongoing), eGov has been a thoughtful and open partner, ready to engage on all types of findings, and implement meaningful changes”

– Dr. Sarayu Natarajan, Founder, Aapti Institute.

“Under a global grant, ideas42 and e-Gov are working on using behavioral science to improve the government’s responsiveness to citizen requests. We are working with the Guntur Municipal Corporation in the state of Andhra Pradesh to understand the behavioral challenges that might prevent officials from resolving service requests and complaints effectively. By understanding the issue of responsiveness from several angles (time sensitivity, accuracy, equity, and customer satisfaction), we aim to design and test ways to improve the overall responsiveness of government officials. e-Gov’s technological platform provides not only a rich database for useful analytics, but also the potential to run behavioral experiments and track their outcomes before scaling up interventions to the entire state.”
