Overview
End to end management of public health campaigns
Health Campaign Management (HCM) is an integrated public health campaign management product aiming to enhance efficiency, transparency, and decision-making while digitalising public health interventions, across disease types.
The 5-day Training Workshop on HCM is tailored specifically for officials who are involved in the digitalization & implementation of health campaigns in Africa. This workshop is part of our commitment to enhance digital competencies and enhance capacity, focusing on the strategic, functional & technical use of the HCM product to streamline and improve health campaign outcomes.
This Workshop will also showcase 2 new aspects of HCM - Console & Microplanning for countries to leverage.
Who is it for?
Senior public health government decision makers from countries, ICT representatives, digital program managers, technology partners, front end and back end developers responsible for the infrastructure, configuration, implementation, management, and operation of public health campaigns in Africa.
Purpose
This 5-day workshop is designed to enable stakeholders with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills on the HCM product. Participants will engage in hands-on sessions, discussions, and scenario-based exercises, tailored to enhance capacity to use, manage, maintain and enhance HCM for their countries

Visa Information
Citizens from the following countries can obtain a free Rwanda three-month single entry visa upon arrival at Kigali International Airport or at the point of entry to Rwanda: Angola, Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, Cote d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Sao Tome and Principe, Singapore and the state Qatar, to visit for a holiday, sightseeing, social or other recreational purpose or to visit relatives or other short term non-work purposes.
Citizens of East Africa Community States members (Burundi, Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania and South Sudan) shall be issued an entry visa to stay for the period of six months and do not pay entry visa Fees.
All other travelers to Rwanda are required to obtain an entry visa without prior application and pay 50 USD upon your arrival at the entry point to Rwanda. To apply online, please visit the following Web site:

Health facilities and concerns
Visitors should drink only bottled water and avoid raw, uncooked vegetables. Access to good health care is limited, particularly outside Kigali. The best hospital in Kigali is King Faisal, King Faisal, which is located behind the Umubano hotel in Kacyiru neighborhood. To schedule an appointment at King Faisal Hospital, you can call 078.830.9002, 078.830.9003 or 3939. They provide Ambulance services. The Belgian Embassy’s clinic, International Dispensary, Telephone number 078.830.0353, also provides services to expatriates. DEVA Medical Center, Telephone number 0788 333 111, is a very good alternative. Furthermore, Legacy clinics, a private Outpatient Clinic, operating from 7am to 9pm, 7 days, on one-stop-centre of all clinical and diagnostics services, Telephone number 0788122100. The Pineda dental Clinic, Pineda, Telephone number 078.856.4377 provides good dental care, just as DEVA Medical Center. The eye care services can be provided by Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, Telephone number 078.730.743. Frontier Diagnostic Center provides diagnosis and treatment using advanced diagnostic equipment. Operating all week from 8am to 10pm,Telephone number 0737044445, 0737044446. Serious illnesses or injuries would typically involve treatment in Nairobi or Johannesburg.,
The risk of infection of malaria exists in Rwanda. You may choose to come with your anti-malarial pills, although some of them can be found in Kigali, if required.
Proof of yellow fever vaccination is usually required to enter Rwanda, although not always checked. Staff are encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before their travel. As such, please carry your vaccination certificates with you.
Money and ATMs
While it is possible to exchange USD for Rwf, there are many ATMs around Kigali City. If you prefer to bring USD and exchange money, it is recommended that you bring new notes (2006 and above) in large denominations ($50 - $100). You will be able to change USD and Euros at banks and/or forex bureaus in the center of town and near the office. The average rate is 1,300 Rwanda Franc to the US dollar and 1,400 Rwanda Franc for 1 Euro in the national Bank of Rwanda. Please avoid changing money with street vendors; it is illegal.

Kigali, Rwanda's capital, is a vibrant city known for its clean streets, modern infrastructure, and rich cultural heritage. It serves as a gateway to Rwanda's stunning landscapes and offers a mix of historical landmarks, bustling markets, and thriving art scenes, making it a must-visit destination in East Africa.
Communication
The telephone network is very efficient in Rwanda. Kigali city is covered by a mobile phone network provided by the MTN Rwanda, MTN , Airtel, the two first are leading telecommunications companies in the country. For the land lines, there is Liquid Telecom, Liquid Telecom. All of these companies offer internet service which is reliable.
Climate/weather
Rwanda is generally temperate, with two rainy seasons (March to May, September to December). The average daytime temperature in the central plateau is 19 to 22°C (65 - 70°F); however, it can be 12-14°C (52 - 55°F) in the morning and the evening, especially in the North in places like the Volcano National Park Rwanda Meteorology Agency.
Language in Rwanda
The main language spoken in Rwanda is Kinyarwanda. English is largely spoken by the central government as well as people who are in contact with visitors. French is widespread amongst Church officials.
Photography
You may take photographs anywhere in Kigali except military installations, police barracks and Presidential residence. If you want to take photos of people in towns or in the countryside, the normal courtesy requires that you first ask for their permission and consent. When visiting the Kigali Genocide memorial, you can take photos outside, but inside you will have to pay. Whenever you are not sure of what to do, and not to do, please ask your tour guide for his/her advice.
