08.12.2023, Delhi / Bengaluru: The Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation (DDWS) and eGov Foundation signed an MoU, initiating a strategic collaboration for the development of the JJM platform for “O&M of Drinking Water Supply Schemes for GPs/ VWSCs” under Jal Jeevan Mission.
Leveraging eGov Foundation’s Open Source Governance Platform – DIGIT, this partnership aims to boost operational efficiency in local self-governments/ members of Pani Samitis and elevate service delivery to citizens on a long-term basis.
The primary focus is on actively monitoring of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) by Village Water & Sanitation Committees (VWSCs) and better management of water supply schemes. Phase 1 kicks off with a POC in 1 district across 3 States, paving the way towards #HarGharJal and effective implementation.
